The
Mentor Connections Program at the School of Nursing is established
to provide professional and leadership development opportunities
for all students in the School.
- Students expressing
an interest in participating are connected to a Mentor after
identifying current and long term professional goals.
- The Mentor Connection
is a developmental, empowering, nurturing relationship extending
over time in which mutual sharing, learning, and growth occur
in an atmosphere of respect, collegiality, and affirmation.
- It is a mutual
sharing that occurs at a crossroads in two people's lives. The
mentor is living the vision and experiencing the passion of
a life discovered, prepared and practiced for years. A protege
is looking to discover the meaning of what will become the work
and love of their life.
