Professional Diploma in School District Leader (Transitional D)
Admission for Matriculated Status
General admission requirements are the same as those for the Graduate School and are as follows:
- A completed application form;
- Application fee;
- Evidence of a bachelor’s degree;
- Official transcripts from all institutions of higher learning previously attended. Student copies are not acceptable.
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7 or graduate GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Two letters of reference;
- A personal interview with the Assistant Dean;
- A writing sample done at The College of New Rochelle
- Immunization records if applicant was born after January 1, 1957;
In
addition, students applying for admission to the program with
a matriculated
status must also provide the following:
- A resume from the candidate;
- A master’s degree from an accredited college or university;
- Evidence of a minimum of three years’ full-time, paid, approved experience in a leadership position.
When the College has received all application materials, an appointment to provide a writing sample will be arranged. This sample will identify those who might benefit from assistance from The College of New Rochelle’s Learning Support Services, available at no cost to students admitted to the program.
All applicants must arrange for an interview with the Assistant Dean before formal acceptance.
Please note: Only matriculated students are permitted
to enroll in Internship courses, and only matriculated students
who complete a master’s degree program, an advanced certificate
program or advanced diploma program will be eligible for recommendation
by the College of New Rochelle for certification.
