Aquatics Director and Head Women's Swim Coach
The College of New Rochelle invites applications for an Aquatics Director/Head Women’s Swim Coach, and this full-time, professional staff position is available September, 2014.   The Aquatics Director will provide leadership and management skills to best utilize the Wellness Center’s resources and advance the mission of the College.  S/he will coordinate and monitor pool usage;  hire, manage and ensure lifeguard staff maintain their certifications;  oversee pool facility maintenance;  and schedule and handle student/guest services to ensure that the pool facility meets and needs of the College Community and is used in accordance with College policy.

In addition, the Aquatics Director will serve as Head Women’s Swim Coach and in that role will manage, coordinate, and instruct the aquatics program within the College’s Physical Education department.  The Head Swim Coach responsibilities include (but are not limited to) all aspects of the development, implementation and administration of the women’s swim program.  Duties include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, budget preparation, promotional activities, eligibility and rules compliance.  This position will require occasional evening/weekend work so the individual selected must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.

The College is affiliated with the NCAA Division III, Association of Division III Independents, and the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree and successful coaching experience (Master’s degree in related area preferred) and current certification in CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or APO (which is recognized by New York State.)  The successful candidate will also be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and hold a valid driver’s license that would meet the College’s requirements to operate institutional vehicles.
