The Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Instruction. Reporting to the Dean, the Assistant Dean is a vital member of the leadership team of the School and works closely with the division directors, faculty liaisons, as well as the Graduate School faculty. The primary responsibilities of the position include: ensuring the academic quality of all on-campus and off-campus graduate programs in the three divisions of the Graduate School; participating in departmental processes including program review, program accreditation, and course, program, and School assessment; assisting the Dean with the school strategic planning processes; interviewing and evaluating new full-time and adjunct faculty; and working with NYSED to maintain NYS regulations.
The successful candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:

An earned doctorate in the field of education from a U.S.-accredited university

Experience in PK-12 education

Knowledge of NYSED regulations for certification

Successful administrative experience in an education setting

College-level teaching experience

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff and internal and external partners
The Graduate School is one of four schools of the College and was founded in 1969 in response to the needs of working adults. We offer Master’s degree programs in the areas of education, human services, and art and communication studies, as well as certificates and advanced diplomas in selected professional areas. Classes are offered in late afternoons, early evenings, and on weekends.
