The Registrar’s Office seeks an experienced higher education professional for the position of Assistant Registrar and this full-time professional staff level position is available immediately. The Assistant Registrar will be responsible for providing administrative support for student records for those in the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Nursing, and the Graduate Nursing Program, as well as administrative support to the Registrar. S/he will work closely with colleagues to maintain the accuracy of student records/data in accordance with all regulatory requirements; perform registration of graduate and undergraduate students; trouble-shoot online registration issues; oversee the grading process; and serve as liaison for the Registrar’s Office with Financial Aid, Bursar, and other administrative offices.
The successful candidate will hold a Master’s Degree and have a minimum of two years of experience in a Registrar’s office, Enrollment Management, or related academic office, or any combination of relevant education and experience. S/he will have a working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and word processing software (Microsoft Office) as well as strong oral and written communication skills. Just as importantly, the Assistant Registrar must have meticulous attention to detail, be highly organized, and be able to work independently or as part of a team to set and meet internal and external priorities and deadlines.
