The School of Arts & Sciences of The College of New Rochelle invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in French and Spanish, effective September 2013. Ph.D. preferred; advanced ABD considered. Specialization is open, with preference for Francophone Mediterranean and Spanish peninsular literature. The successful candidate will teach all levels of French language, literature, and culture courses as well as courses in Spanish literature and culture. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, experience with the use of technology, and native or near-native fluency in French, Spanish, and English required. Candidate will actively participate in service at the departmental, school, and College levels, which includes contributing to the College’s First Year Seminar and other general education courses, advising French majors and minors, coordinating co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and developing curriculum.
