Controller
The College of New Rochelle invites applications and nominations for the position of Controller.  This senior-level exempt position is available immediately.  The Controller reports directly to the Vice President for Financial Affairs and serves as a key member of the Area Planning Team. The Controller oversees all accounting and financial operations matters of the College. The Controller is responsible for the development, oversight, and management of the College’s accounting functions and activities, including general ledger, cash management, the bursar’s office, payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, accounting, and budget.  The Controller develops and implements financial policies, procedures, controls and systems, and oversees their direction and management.  All compliance issues related to generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, Federal and State regulatory requirements and grant provisions are the responsibility of the Controller.  This individual will also prepare monthly financial reports and annual financial statements, manage external audits, and be responsible for the reporting of the College’s financial activities to internal and external constituencies. 

Qualified applicants should have a master’s degree in an appropriate discipline with a CPA preferred and a minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in a private college or university setting.  The successful candidate must be an effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all areas and schools of the College, and s/he will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the Mission, goals, and objectives of the institution through effective fiscal management.  The Controller will be highly organized, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to manage multiple projects within established deadlines.

The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 as the first Catholic college for women in New York State.
