Do I receive just one laptop for all four years?
Yes, as long as you remain enrolled full time (12 credits or more) in the School of Arts & Sciences or School of Nursing. You are required to securely maintain your laptop until your graduation from CNR.

Who owns the laptop?
The College owns the laptop until you graduate and fulfill all of your financial obligations.  At this time, the title of the laptop will be transferred to you for $1 and CNR will have no further responsibility for the laptop.

How are repairs being handled?
In the event of damage or malfunction, repairs can only be performed by the Office of Information Systems.  You must bring the laptop to the Help Desk.

What exactly is covered under the four year warranty?

The warranty will cover issues occurring with hardware malfunctions under normal use.

Which model is available through the CNR laptop program?
The standard model is the Dell LatitudeE6420, E6410, E6400, and D630.  In Fall 2012 semester, freshmen majoring in art or communication art will be assigned a MacBook Pro.

Does the laptop come complete and ready to use?
Yes! Upon distribution all laptops will already be configured and ready to use on the College’s network.

Does the new laptop come with a carrying case?
Yes!

How can I be sure my computer will be safe on campus?
It is your responsibility to maintain the safety and security of the laptop in your possession. Security cables may be purchased from any computer store.

How do I obtain support for my new laptop?
Support for hardware, software, and networking will be provided by the Dell/Apple Certified Technicians at the Help Desk. Help Desk is located in Mooney Center, room 153.
