Four parking lots are located on the Main Campus and are available for parking by commuter students, faculty, and staff of the College with a valid CNR Parking Tag. In addition, parking is available to faculty and staff along Castle Place.
Parking Tags are issued by the Security Front Office and are required for parking on Castle Place or in any of our parking lots. The fee for the tag is $5, and it is valid from September 1 until August 31 of the following year.
Parking Tags should be placed on the rearview mirror facing outward. Faculty/Staff tags allow parking on Castle Place or in the parking lots in all spaces not restricted or otherwise designated. Student tags allow parking only in any of the parking lots, for commuter students only. The College also has a designated number of handicapped accessible spaces available on campus. They are, however, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Due to limited on-campus parking, resident students are not permitted to purchase parking tags or to park on campus.
See the Campus Map for available parking locations.
College parking regulations are enforced by the Security Department, as follows:
Monday - Thursday, 8am - 7pm
Friday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm
- Parking is not permitted on Castle Place between the hours of midnight and 6am.
- Under State law, parking is never permitted in a fire lane nor in the spaces designated handicapped. This parking is enforced by the City of New Rochelle as well as by the Security Department.
- The storing of a vehicle on College property is prohibited.
- Vehicles must be removed from the parking lots and from Castle Place during snowstorms for plowing.
Violations of the parking regulations will result in the issuance of a summons. The first summons is $5, and each summons thereafter is $10. Violations may be paid at the Security Office during office hours. Payments are accepted by cash, check or auxiliary account. The College is authorized to immobilize a car through the use of a "boot" for persistent violations of these regulations. Additionally, parking tags are not issued to individuals with outstanding parking fines.
Special Parking Needs
Reserving Individual Spaces
Four reserved spaces by the Information Booth are available to guests of faculty/staff members on a first-come-first-served basis. Reservations should be made through the Security Office.
Reserving Parking For Special Functions
Reservation of multiple parking spaces or of a parking lot requires Vice Presidential approval. It is necessary to make these reservations as far in advance as possible to ensure that there is enough time for their review and approval. For procedures and policies regarding reserving multiple parking spaces, contact the Security Office at 914-654-5204.
Handicapped Parking Requests
The Security Department receives numerous requests for reserved parking spaces due to injury or medical condition. Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of parking on the campus, we are unable to provide reserved parking in these circumstances.
Members of the College Community who require special parking for medical reasons are encouraged to apply to City Hall for a temporary handicapped permit, which will entitle them to handicapped parking for a limited time.
