Adjunct Faculty- All Areas

The College of New Rochelle School of New Resources seeks Adjunct Faculty for all campuses. In addition to the Main Campus in New Rochelle, the School of New Resources maintains five city campuses including the Co-op City Campus, the DC-37 Campus in lower Manhattan, the John Cardinal O'Connor Campus in the South Bronx, the Brooklyn Campus, and the Rosa Parks Campus in Harlem.

The School of New Resources is a recognized leader in adult higher education, and provides a baccalaureate liberal arts degree program tailored for today's adults.

We seek:

  • Instructors in all areas of the liberal arts – psychology, social science, English composition, developmental writing, the humanities, communications, mathematics, history/philosophy of science, philosophy, religious studies, literature, American studies, sociology, general liberal arts studies, urban studies, library science, and more.
  • Instructors in some professional areas including health care administration, labor studies, and criminal justice. 
  • Qualified tutors in English and math. The minimum requirement to tutor is a bachelor of arts in the respective field.

Our courses meet once per week and are offered in the morning, generally from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and evening from 6 – 10 p.m.

Applicants must have a master’s degree in the area in which they wish to teach and be comfortable with adult learners and a non-traditional program. Positions are available for the summer/fall 2011 semesters.
