For 106 years, the core of a College of New Rochelle education has centered on a distinctive
liberal arts education rooted in the Catholic faith and the
development of the whole student, particularly women. CNR continues to be a visionary educational institution with the ability to prepare students with the skills to live in a rapidly evolving world along with an instilled sense of responsibility for the people and the world around us.
Today, through our
four Schools, CNR continues to demonstrate the same pioneering spirit that led us to be the
first Catholic college for women in New York State (a commitment to women that we continue through our
School of Arts & Sciences), that inspired us to add the
School of Nursing preparing the
highest caliber of nurses, to create the
School of New Resources for
accelerated studies for working adults, and to institute highly sought-after advanced programs of study in our
Graduate School.
