To apply to The College of New Rochelle as a freshman, please follow these procedures:
- Apply using our online application (you can submit the essay and request letters of recommendation when you fill out the online application) or the Common Application.
- Send all supporting documents to The College of New Rochelle:
- Request your official high school transcript.
- Have your SAT or ACT scores reported and sent (our College Board Code is 2089 and our ACT is code 2712).

- School of Arts and Sciences applicants - strongly recommended
- School of Nursing applicants - required
- Letter(s) of recommendation (strongly recommended)
- If you have earned college credit for courses taken while in high school, have your AP scores and/or official transcripts sent from the college.
- For studio art majors, a portfolio of 14 to 20 pieces is required for scholarship consideration and should be submitted to the chairperson of the Art Department.
Admission interviews, while not usually required, are highly recommended. The interview enables the applicant to receive further information about the College and enhances her admission credentials through the oral presentation of additional strengths or talents. Applicants are also invited to take a tour of the campus and to visit classes. Campus visits can be arranged through the Office of Admission at 1-800-933-5923.
The College utilizes a rolling admission system beginning November 1. A decision is usually reached within two weeks of the completion of an applicant's folder. Students are encouraged to submit their admission credentials as early as possible and, if accepted, to enroll by May 1. Students accepted after May 1 should enroll as soon as possible.
