CNR Sophomore Wins 2009 HVWAC Cross Country Championship!
The College of New Rochelle Women's Cross Country Team is a NCAA Division III Independent. The “Blue Angels” compete locally as a member of the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC).
The Blue Angels will head into the new season under head coach Adrienne Wald. Coach Wald, a successful distance runner herself, has been successfully coaching area cross country as a member of the Westchester Track Club, where she was a teammate of former CNR XC Coach Jill Vollweiler. Fall of 2010 will be her 5th season as coach.
The cross country season begins as soon as school opens, in early September and concludes with the Conference Championships in late October. Meets are held each weekend in September and October, many at Vancortlandt Park, and area colleges including Purchase, Bard, and others. Runners of all experience levels and abilities are welcome to be part of the team. If you would like more information, call Coach Wald at (914) 654-5380!
