The Graduate School at The College of New Rochelle is hosting a conference
on “Building Resilience Through the Life Cycle.”
Resilience
is the ability to recover quickly from hardship or misfortune. This
conference seeks to offer a multi-disciplinary exploration of how resilience
manifests itself and may be developed through the events typical in a life
cycle. Recommended attendees: CNR alumni, educators, administrators,
social workers, guidance counselors, psychologists, graduate students,
and parents.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose two workshops spotlighting
resilience in young children, teachers, or women’s lives, as well as subjects
such as how to build resilience through artistic creativity, spiritual
fitness training, and intergenerational communication.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College
of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order. Today, it comprises
the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three schools which admit
women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult learners), the School
of Nursing and the Graduate School. The main campus of the College
