THE COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE TO HOST ART EXHIBIT
BY STUDENT MARIANNE DELIONADO

New Rochelle, NY, February 27, 2004 -- From March 6 to March 28, The College of New Rochelle (CNR) will be hosting a solo exhibit by senior art student Marianne Delionado entitled Chaos.  The exhibit includes wood and wire assemblages, collages, paintings, drawings and prints.  These works are meant to represent traumatic events and one’s attempt to block traumatic circumstances in the future.  Ms. Delionado’s goal with this exhibit is to spotlight the disturbing experiences that may disrupt our lives at any time.

Ms. Delionado, who is a senior in the School of Arts & Sciences at CNR, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a minor in art history.  She hopes to obtain a Master of Fine Arts degree and embark on a teaching career as she continues her own artistic career.  Ms. Delionado, originally from Pelham Manor, resides in Mt. Vernon.

This exhibit is on display in the Mooney Center Gallery on the first floor at CNR’s Main Campus at 29 Castle Place in New Rochelle.  The gallery is open weekdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and weekends from 12 until 4 p.m.  For information, tours and directions to CNR, please call (914) 654-5423.
