CNR C0-hosts Hospice Foundation of America’s 15th Annual Teleconference  “Living with Grief®: Children and Adolescents”

The College of New Rochelle (CNR) and the George T. Davis Funeral Home will once again host this live national broadcast event on CNR’s Main Campus.  The Teleconference, broadcast from Washington, DC, will be moderated by Frank Sesno, Professor of Public Policy and Communication at George Mason University and CNN Correspondent.

Wednesday, April 16, 2008, 1:00 - 5:00 pm ET,
Romita Auditorium
CNR’s Main Campus
at 29 Castle Place in New Rochelle

People who reside in or near New Rochelle are encouraged to join us for this important event. There is no charge to attend the teleconference.  Please RSVP to Diane Lewis at 914-654-5561.

Dr. Kenneth Doka, Professor of Gerontology at CNR and noted author, will join a distinguished panel focusing on the experience of grieving children and adolescents and ways that all hospice professionals, educators, parents, social workers, physicians, grief counselors, funeral directors and clergy can best support children and adolescents as they cope with loss and grief. The program and accompanying book written by child and adolescent grief experts will examine the newest theories and practices, combining academic research with hand-on ideas for use in hospice support groups and other settings.

Low-cost continuing education contact hours (CEs) will be available through HFA at the CNR site.  Contact Diane Lewis at (914) 654-5561 for more information.

The teleconference is produced by Hospice Foundation of America (HFA), a not-for-profit organization, which acts as an advocate for the hospice concept of care through ongoing programs of professional education, public information and research on issues relating to illness, loss, grief and bereavement
