has appointed Dr. Walter Sullivan, Director of The College of New
Rochelle’s (CNR) Center for Educational Policy & Practice, as
Coordinator of the Regents’ Steering Committee for Standards Review.
The Board of Regents recently announced that it will

ELA standards will be reviewed by an ELA/ESL Content Panel comprised of

career as an educator and administrator. Established in 2007, the
Center for Educational Policy and Practice provides a forum for the
examination of educational trends, best practices and policies
affecting Pre-K-16 education. According to Dr. Sullivan, the goal of
the Center is to assist educators by sharing the resources of the
College through partnerships with local school districts. “The
Center is committed to articulating and illustrating the essential role
of the Liberal Arts in the preparation of educators,” said Dr.
Sullivan. “Through research, programming, conferences and forums, we
