THE COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE APPOINTS
NEW MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

NEW ROCHELLE, NY, August 27, 2007 – The College of New Rochelle (CNR) has announced the appointment of three new members to the College’s Board of Trustees: Hugh F. Johnston of Greenwich, CT, Margaret Mary Kelleher, O.S.U. of College Park, MD, and John C. Nicholson of Greenwich, CT. Each will serve a three-year term.

“The wise counsel and generous support that our trustees have given this College play a key role in the College’s success,” says Dr. Stephen J. Sweeny, President of CNR. “Generously, the trustees hold in their hands the well-being of this vital institution. With these new trustees joining an already very talented and committed Board, we are in very good hands indeed.”

Hugh F. Johnston

PepsiCo’s Executive Vice President of Operations, Mr. Johnston leads the company’s Global Transformation, Procurement and Information Technology.  During his 20-year tenure with PepsiCo, he has held a variety of leadership positions, including Senior Vice President, Transformation, where he was responsible for Project One Up, PepsiCo’s multi-year, global enterprise systems initiative.  Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for PepsiCo Beverages & Foods and as the Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions.  Prior to joining PepsiCo, Mr. Johnston held positions with General Electric Company and Merck.  He earned a BS in Finance from Syracuse University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Margaret Mary Kelleher, O.S.U.

An Ursuline nun, Sr. Margaret Mary returns to the College’s Board of Trustees, having served twice previously: from 1992 – 1998 and again from 2000 – 2006.  She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Theology and Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Sr. Margaret Mary earned her BS from the College of Mount St. Vincent, an MA and MS from Fordham University and her Ph.D. from Catholic University School of Religious Studies.

John C. Nicholson

Currently a managing director at Lehman Brothers, Capital Markets Prime Services Division, Mr. Nicholson began his career with the company in 1986.  He has worked in numerous roles for Lehman Brothers in the United States as well as in Tokyo and London.  He is a recipient of the Chairman’s Award for Extraordinary Client Service and the President’s Corporate Citizenship Award.  Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Nicholson was employed by Chase Manhattan Bank.  He also served as a history instructor at the Pingry School in New Jersey.  He holds a BA in history from Dartmouth College.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
