CNR Hosts 13th Annual High School Women Artists Exhibit

This year’s entries will be on display October 29 to November 12.  The exhibition will culminate with an Awards Ceremony and Reception on November 12 at 3:30 pm.  The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. 

 This annual competition was created to offer aspiring young female artists nationwide the opportunity to showcase their two- and three-dimensional works.  CNR is inviting more than 450 schools nationwide to participate.   Each year, the College receives more than 100 pieces of art from students around the country. 

The annual event is sponsored by the College’s Office of External Relations, Media & Photographic Services Department, and the Art Department of the School of Arts & Sciences (SAS).  High school art teachers are responsible for nominating participating students.  For additional information, please call (914) 654-5548.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order. Today, it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three schools which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult learners), the School of Nursing and the Graduate School.  The main campus of the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of New York City.  The College maintains five other campus locations in New York City.
