For over
100 years, The
College of New Rochelle has provided its students with a
richly
diverse and intellectually stimulating experience. Today, as a
medium-size,
multi-campus independent institution serving more than 7,000 students
in
four academic units, the College continues to provide an educational
experience
through which the unique potential of each student can be realized.
Today,
The College of New Rochelle community is excited by the challenge of
preparing
the next generation of students for the future. Our students receive an
education that challenges critical thinking, provides career
preparation,
instills values, and fosters a commitment to life-long learning.
There is a
special value in
the style of education we provide at The College of New Rochelle. We
understand
that for today and for the future a liberal education must be
integrated
with professional, career-directed training; the most up-to-date
technological
tools and instruction to prepare our students for the 21st century.
As important, we have an ongoing
commitment to providing individuals of talent and demonstrated ability
access to college. We make available the resources and opportunities
our
students need to assume leadership roles and to fully participate in
society.
At The College of
New Rochelle, women
are provided the opportunities and tools to advance to leadership in
society.
Our commitment to women benefits men and women by permitting both to
transform
and transcend traditional societal roles. We integrate the liberal arts
with solid career preparation, and from our Ursuline heritage we invoke
and discuss our values unself-consciously and unapologetically. This is
a privileged place where intellect and compassion journey together.
I invite
you to browse the
CNR Web pages and explore the many academic opportunities available
here
at The College of New Rochelle.
