Public Opinion Research & Communication Studies Faculty Position
The Graduate School of the College of New Rochelle invites applications and nominations for a Tenure Track faculty position in Public Opinion Research and Communication Studies in our Art and Communication Studies Division. This person will help create and direct a new Public Opinion Research Center.

Qualifications and Position Responsibilities
Doctorate in Communication or related field (ABD considered) with the interest and ability to develop a public opinion research center that will focus on Women’s Issues to include health, wellness, sports and physical fitness among others. Expertise in survey research methodology and Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing expected. Preferred candidates will have an interest in developing and teaching courses in Sports Communication, Health Communication, and/or Public Relations. Responsibilities include:

·  Developing public opinion research center;

·   Teaching graduate courses

·  Advising and mentoring students;

·    Doing scholarly work; and

· Participating in school, campus, state, and national professional and service activities.

The Graduate School
The Graduate School, founded in 1969 in response to the needs of working professionals, offers Master’s degree programs in the areas of Education, Human Services, and Art and Communication Studies. Certificates and professional diplomas are also offered in selected professional areas.

The Graduate School offers the Master of Science in Education degree in the fields of Childhood Education, Creative Teaching and Learning (Gifted Education), Early Childhood Education, Literacy Education, Multilingual/Multicultural Education (TESOL), Special Education; it offers the Master of Science degree in the fields of Art Therapy, Art Therapy Counseling, Career Development, Communication Studies, Educational Leadership, Guidance and Counseling, Gerontology, Mental Health Counseling, School Psychology, and Studio Art; it offers the Master of Arts degree in Art Education. Advanced graduate certificate programs are offered in Bilingual Education, Communication Studies, Creative Teaching and Learning (Gifted Extension), Guidance and Counseling, School Building Leader, and Thanatology (Grief Counseling). A School District Leader Professional Diploma program is also available.

The first Catholic college for women in New York State, The College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
