Staff Assistant (Two Positions)

We’re looking for the perfect employees to fill two full-time support staff positions at our John Cardinal O’Connor Campus, located on East 149th Street in the South Bronx.  If you have great skills, prefer to be busy, would enjoy a college environment, and have excellent interpersonal skills, then we want you to join our team as soon as possible.

These two Staff Assistants will support the admission department at our bustling campus by scheduling prospective student information workshops, open houses, and testing sessions, and they will also assist in administering and monitoring testing activities. In addition, they will answer prospective student inquiries, assist in maintaining prospective student and admission files, and work closely with other staff in the orientation of new students to the campus.

These positions require individuals who are highly organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office. Evening hours are required.

The John Cardinal O’Connor Campus is one of six campuses of our School of New Resources, and the campus serves approximately 1,000 adult learners in day, evening, and weekend classes.  The School of New Resources enjoys an international reputation as a leader in the field of adult higher education and our faculty and staff possess a commitment to teaching in a non-traditional, student-centered liberal arts curriculum, to experiential and individualized learning models, and to the delivery of academic advisement and support services.  The John Cardinal O’Connor Campus is a beautiful, newly-renovated facility, easily accessible by public transportation, with state-of-the-art technology, a Photography Laboratory, integrated Media Center, and ample parking.  It houses the Gordon Parks Gallery.

The College provides a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including liberal vacation, a generous retirement plan, and tuition remission.  A Catholic college in the Ursuline tradition, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who can contribute to our unique educational mission.  To learn more about the College, visit our website at: www.cnr.edu.
