CNR Offers Anti-Bullying Training Certified by State Education Department

The College of New Rochelle is again offering the general public the only certified anti-bullying program in the area, which fulfills the New York State Department of Education training requirement for new education professionals, on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
 
Mandated by the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA), the training program, "Prevention and Intervention of Harassment, Bullying, Cyber-bullying and Discrimination in Schools," fulfills the anti-bullying training requirement for anyone applying for New York state teaching, administrative, support, and professional positions, or school service certificates or licenses.

To register for the DASA training, applicants should contact Angela Ruta at (914) 654-5412. The training will take place at The College of New Rochelle (room provided upon registration), New Rochelle, NY 10805. The fee is $125. Payment by cash or check must be received before Sunday, December 8, the day of the training.
