The Dowell Lecture Examines Feminism in 2011
The 2011 Dowell Lecture, hosted by the Women's Studies Committee, featured Emilie Zaslow, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Pace University. Zaslow is the author of Feminism, Inc: Coming of Age in Girl Power Media Culture
Zaslow's lecture, "Making Sense of Feminism in 2011," examined contemporary feminism, feminist images in popular media, and the need for a modern feminist movement.
The Dowell Lecture is in honor of Elvira M. Dowell SAS'36.
