Meghan King SAS'15 Named Assoc. of Div. III Independents Volleyball Player of the Week
This week has been fruitful in the volleyball career of Meghan King SAS’15, who was named both Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) volleyball Player of the Week and Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Association’s (HVWAC) Rookie of the Week.
The College of New Rochelle freshman outside hitter Meghan King (New City, N.Y.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents volleyball Player of the Week. King led her team to a 3-0 week with 26 kills, 18 digs and six service aces. She averaged 2.4 kills and 1.6 digs per set. King leads the team in kills on the season with 61.
Megan King, a freshman outside hitter from The College of New Rochelle, has been selected as the HVWAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. King helped lead the Blue Angels to a 3-0 record and their fifth straight win amassing 26 kills, with 18 digs. In a five-set win over Purchase King had 14 kills and eight digs.
Meghan was also named Rookie of the Week by HWVAC for the week of September 19, 2011. HVWAC wrote, “Megan King, a freshman outside hitter from The College of New Rochelle, has been selected as the HVWAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week. King had the best week of her young career accumulating 16 kills, seven digs, three assists, three aces and a block during a 2-0 week for the Blue Angels.”
