Two hundred seniors in the School of New Resources at The College of New Rochelle celebrated their upcoming graduation and were welcomed as CNR’s newest members of the Alumnae/i Association at the 2012 SNR Senior Celebration Luncheon on April 14, 2012.

Rev. Dr. Floyd Blair, Esq. SNR’97 spoke at the event and said that whenever he is asked where he is from, he always replies “I am from Brooklyn, and I am from The College of New Rochelle.”

The event was hosted in CNR’s Wellness Center, with background music provided by David Patterson SNR’97 and his jazz ensemble. The music continued with Michael Williams SNR’12, of the DC37 Campus, who sang a rendition of Etta James’ “At Last.”

Dean Elza Dinwiddie-Boyd, who is retiring in June, said that this was a happy though bittersweet occasion, since it is her last Senior Celebration as Dean. Brenna Sheenan Mayer, Vice President for College Advancement, paid tribute to Dean Boyd for her leadership and devotion to CNR and to the School of New Resources.

The John Cardinal O’Connor Campus won the trophy for most donor participation/money raised by an SNR Campus in the $20.12 for 2012 SNR Senior Class Gift Campaign. As this year’s winners, the JOC Campus will keep the trophy on display until next year’s campaign.
