CNR Hosts 41st Annual Stawberry Festival May 5

The College of New Rochelle's 41st annual Strawberry Festival takes place Sunday, May 5, from noon to 5 p.m. on Maura Lawn, featuring music, food, entertainment, rides, and strawberry treats. Admission is free.

The band Fourth Generation will provide music. Students will also showcase their talents, with performances from the Black Ice Step Team, Fly Angels, gospel choir, and the College's tap dance, belly dance, and hip-hop dance classes.

There will be face painting, a giant slide, a rock wall, dunk tank gladiator joust, bounce house, henna tattoos and more.

Refreshments will include chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry slushies, and strawberry shortcake, as well as traditional fair food such as hotdogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and snow cones.

The Strawberry Festival, first held in 1972, is the single largest event organized entirely by the College’s undergraduates. The rain location is the Wellness Center.
