Suzette, where did you
attend college?
I graduated from here, The College of New Rochelle, with
a BA in English. I then continued my studies and received my Masters in
Literature from Iona College. I am still in school, pursuing a degree
in Mental Health Counseling from the graduate program at CNR.

How long have you been at the CNR?
I started working as an
Admission Counselor in July of 2000, two months after graduation.

What is your role at the
College?
I work in the Campus Ministry
Office as an Assistant Director. My daily duties include providing all
students on campus with various local volunteer opportunities. Some of
our most popular volunteer choices are the Midnight Run and the Lord's
Pantry. I also work with our peer ministers, who are student leaders.
These students help the professional staff with our programming and
events. In addition, I also coordinate our service trips during spring
break as well as our fall social justice event that Campus Ministry
holds every year.

Besides your work
responsibilities, how are you involved in the College Community?
I sing with the Chapel Choir
in Holy Family Chapel on Sunday mornings.

What do you think makes CNR special?
I think what makes CNR
special is the fact that each student is given the opportunity and
encouragement to be the best they can be during their four years.

What sort of student is successful at The
College of New Rochelle?
Successful CNR students are
those who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in. They are
able to think critically, communicate effectively, and look at every
aspect of a situation with an objective mind.
