Where are you from,
Danielle?
I grew up in Stanfordville, New York. A
very rural town halfway between Poughkeepsie and Albany.

How
did you hear about The College of New Rochelle?
I first encountered CNR at a college fair
at a nearby high school.

What other colleges did
you consider and why did you pick CNR?
The other colleges I considered were
Vassar and Stony Brook. I picked CNR because I loved the
atmosphere, the size of the classes (since I came from a VERY small
high school) and the financial help they offered.

What
do you think is special about the College?
I think one of the
greatest things about CNR is the community. The professors are always
willing to help and they know who you are. Unlike at other colleges
where you are just a number. I also think one of our best resources at
CNR is our Study Abroad program. I have studied abroad in Tours, France
for the last two summers. If I wasn't a student here I wouldn't have
had those experiences that have truly changed my life.

What
is your major?
My majors are French
and English.

Tell
us about some of your favorite professors.
My favorite
professors happen to be my two advisors, Dr. Andre Beauzethier and Dr.
Nick Smart, because they are so helpful and want only the best for
their students. They don't only teach, but they also invest time
into getting to know their students and preparing them for what may
come after undergrad.

What
clubs or organizations are you involved with as a student?
Since my Freshman
year I have been a member of CNR Drama, CNR's oldest club. I have done
everything from being President (last year) to acting, to set and light
design. I think it is one of the best things that is offered at CNR!

Do you have a chance to go into New York City?
I do go into the city all the time! It's
so close I'm not sure how you couldn't. I like to go down for dinner,
or a show, or even just a nice relaxing day in Central Park.

Did
you have a job while you were a student?
I've had many jobs while being a student.
However, this semester I am working strictly on campus at both the
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs’ Office and with Learning
Support Services. I am tutoring three subjects.

What
do you plan to do when you graduate?
I plan on going to graduate school. I
hope to attend New York University and earn a masters in Journalism
with a concentration in French Studies. I eventually want to work in
the travel industry. You know, go out and see the world!
