Dedicated in honor of the Archbishop of New York in 2000, the John Cardinal O'Connor Campus offers the only four-year baccalaureate degree program for adults in the South Bronx. The campus has served the community for nearly a quarter-century, and currently enrolls over 1,200 students.
The nine-story building on East 149th Street features numerous computer-assisted classrooms and labs, a meditation room, and a library that offers a variety of print and online resources, as well as full research assistance.
At the heart of the campus is the Gordon A. Parks Gallery & Cultural Arts Center, located on the first floor, which serves not only the College, but the entire community. It reflects the diverse interests of the renowned photographer, writer, and filmmaker, hosting multicultural activities such as art exhibits, lectures, poetry readings, and musical performances. Exhibitions held in this space are often featured on the Bronx Council on the Arts’ Culture Trolley, which visits multiple art spaces in the area on the first Wednesday of each month.
The John Cardinal O'Connor Campus is located at 332 East 149th Street, Bronx, NY 10451. (718) 665-1310
