Each semester Counseling and Career Services (CCS) offers a variety of group presentations on a wide range of topics related to personal development.
Every fall, the College participates in the National Depression Screening Day Month, and in the spring, CCS presents a Screening Day in conjunction with National Alcohol Awareness Week.
Counseling and Career Services also offers smaller workshops and programs at their office in the Mooney Center, or in convenient gathering places for students, such as the residence halls. CCS staff and guest speakers who are experts in their fields facilitate discussions on various topics, including conflict resolution, stress management, study skills, healthy relationships, body image, and preventing eating disorders.
Students are encouraged to suggest topics of interest and to work with the CCS staff to develop relevant and useful presentations. CCS staff collaborates with Resident Assistants, Student Organizations, Clubs, and any group of students interested in learning more about a particular topic.
For more information please check our calendar on this website or see the Workshops and Programs listing published each semester by Counseling and Career Services. If you are interested in a particular topic, please contact CCS at (914) 654-5562 or at ccs@cnr.edu.
