How to Obtain a Work-Study Job
  • Pick up your Clearance Form from Financial Aid Office in the Ursula Administration Center, Room G-1.
  • Download and complete your Student Employment Application.

Note: America Reads positions are coordinated by The Counseling and Career Services Office To apply for this off-campus work-study position you will need to obtain an America Reads application in Mooney Center, room 150.

  • Review the work study job listings posted and make a note of the locations of the openings which interest you.
  • Give a copy of your completed Application Form to the person or office for whom you would like to work. Always keep a copy of your Application Form for yourself in order to make additional copies.
  • After you are officially hired, give your work-study supervisor your Clearance Form to sign. Make a photo copy for your supervisor and take the original to the payroll office. If you are hired for more than one work-study job, ask the Financial Aid Office to write an additional clearance for each job.
  • At the Payroll Office you will be asked to complete a W-4 Form and an I-9 Form. You will be asked to show two forms of identification.

 

Note: In order to receive paychecks you must present the documents listed above, and follow the timesheet procedures which your supervisor will explain to you.
