The Office of Student Development and The Student Government Association (SGA) value the traditions of The College of New Rochelle. Both Student Development and the SGA celebrate a host of traditions and implement a variety of events that engage, not only students in campus life, but the entire college community.
Traditional events at our college for women include:
Activities Fair
Held every September, this event gives SGA clubs and organizations and College departments the opportunity to promote the group’s programs and activities and to attract new and continuing members.
Founder's Day
The College of New Rochelle has such a rich Ursuline and academic heritage that we celebrate every October! This day is filled with college-wide events that acknowledge the founding principles and reaffirm the mission at our college for women.
Family Weekend
Each fall, we welcome families to campus in an autumn tradition that celebrates our students and their families. This exciting weekend provides families with an opportunity to visit the campus and engage in their students’ experience at our college for women! We welcome you to visit the
Family Weekend page for the weekend schedule of events and registration form.
Spirit Competition
It’s the Battle of the Classes! Students from the freshman through senior classes compete in friendly challenges that build and promote school spirit and unity!
Strawberry Festival
An annual tradition for 40 years, it is the largest event sponsored by the SGA that is open to the College Community and the public. Music, strawberry foods, inflatable entertainment, games, and children’s rides provide an environment of fun for all!
