The College's mission of educating students for service in response to the needs of society serves as a guide for the Division of Human Services. The division is dedicated to educating individuals for successful careers in the helping professions.  Master’s degree and certificate programs in the Division of Human Services prepare individuals for careers as mental health and career counselors, school counselors, school psychologists, and gerontologists.  For individuals seeking licensure or certification in these fields, our programs meet the educational requirements as mandated by the New York State Education Department.  Practicum and internship placements provide a true and rich experience in one’s chosen field.  The everyday stresses of today’s fast paced society has led to an increasing demand for the services of these professionals. Graduates of the Division of Human Services are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to meet this increasing demand.
