Courses provide knowledge of philosophy, integrative theories, and science of wholeness, pathways for self-development and clinical practice with selected clients. Opportunity exists for in-depth study of the self, personal growth, and evolution of a healing consciousness.
Faculty who teach and mentor students are experts in the field of complementary health care and maintain clinical practices in which the role of nurse-healer is used in partnership with traditional health care systems.

Experiential learning of selected complementary modalities, such as imagery, meditation, polarity energy balancing, reflexology, relaxation, sound therapies, and therapeutic touch. Through clinical practica, students care for a selected client cohort to integrate a caring-healing model of advanced practice into a variety of health care environments.

Role Practicum

TOTAL: 22 credit hours/135 clinical hours

Specialty courses prepare the professional nurse in the fundamentals of management operations, budgeting and financial accounting, marketing issues, business communication strategies, management of information and human resources, and health care ethics, law and policy. A culminating role practicum offers students the opportunity to implement selected role functions with an individualized focus to enhance career development in a management position in nursing and health care.
