Campus Ministry, working together with the college community and the other departments of Student Services, helps to create a spiritually rich environment on campus where every student can grow in her or his religious tradition or explore new paths to God. Because The College of New Rochelle is rooted in its Catholic, Ursuline heritage, a daily and Sunday Eucharist is celebrated at which students, faculty and staff are invited to serve as lectors, altar servers, choir members and eucharistic ministers. At the same time, because the college also respects and honors all faiths and the people who practice them, regular interfaith services are arranged by and offered through the Campus Ministry office. Everyone at CNR is welcome to participate in Campus Ministry activities and Campus Ministry serves the entire community on all campuses. By providing opportunities for prayer, worship, service in the community, and religious education, Campus Ministry also challenges students of all faiths to deepen their spriitual lives and respond generously to the needs of others on campus and in the larger community. The professional
staff of Campus Ministry includes a lay Director and Campus Minister, a
Chaplain who is a Franciscan Capuchin priest, and student peer ministers.
The Chaplain arranges for marriages of Alumnae/i at the college.
