Harold Crocker
Director of Athletics

Harold Crocker enters his 8th year at the College of New Rochelle as the Director of Athletics for the “Blue Angels”. Crocker comes to CNR after a long and successful coaching career on the high school and college levels. He has coached both men and women’s sports on all levels and was selected as the NYS Football Coach of the Year in 1980 as well as the Liberty Football Conference Coach of the Year in 1989 and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the year in 1993 while at Iona College. He has served as the Vice President of Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference and has been instrumental in the planning and design of the new Wellness Center.

Crocker received his:

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Central Connecticut State University
  • Masters of Science in Education from The College of New Rochelle
  • Professional Diploma in Administration & Supervision from Iona College

Coach Crocker has had a distinguished career as a teacher in the City School District of New Rochelle and has worked as an educational athletic consultant as well as regional scout for the NFL’s New York Giants football team. He was inducted into the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.


Byron Womack
Assistant to the Athletic Director

Byron Womack serves CNR as the Assistant to the Athletic Director. Womack works closely with the Athletic Director to ensure that the organization, administration and supervision of all sports programs are appropriately running. Womack is also responsible for all NCAA and HVWAC statistical reporting.

Before coming to CNR, Womack played for Coach Crocker at Iona College. At Iona, Womack was the captain of the 1992 Football team and broke the NCAA Division III record for Kickoff Returns for Touchdowns.

Womack received his:

  • B.S.W. in Social Work from Iona College
  • Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from The College of New Rochelle
  • Masters of Education in School Administration and Supervision from the College of New Rochelle

Womack currently counsels students at the Port Chester High School and supervises guidance and counseling interns. Womack has coached Varsity Football, Women’s Basketball and Modified Girl’s Softball programs in the district.
