In response to the call of our mission – fostering education for service – faculty, staff, students and alumnae/i are invited to take part in a day of service.   Although the College will remain open on April 2, 2008 CNR community members may request to take part in the service activity listed at the discretion of their dean, professor or supervisor.  Community Service Day will take place with Richmond Group.

Richmond Group is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of programs and services to people with developmental disabilities and complex medical health care needs. For more information, please check out their web site: www.richmondgroup.orgCNR has been asked to complete their service at Richmond Group’s Intermediate Care Facility Program located at 919 North Broadway in Yonkers.

CNR volunteers are encouraged to stay for the entire day, but they can also work in a session:

Lunch will be provided by Richmond Group for those volunteering for the entire day.

EVENING STUDENTS

  • Prepare sandwiches, soup and coffee (5 PM to 6 PM)
  • Sort clothing (5 PM to 7 PM)
  • Take part in the Run (8 PM to 2 AM)

Priority for participating in these three activities will be given to evening students.
