    • The Hunger Banquet engages participants in a dramatization of the unequal distribution of resources and wealth in the world, thereby educating individuals on world hunger facts as well as ways to combat this global tragedy.
    • The Sleep Out is an opportunity for the CNR community to spend one night outside sleeping on Maura Lawn to discuss, think, and learn about homelessness, in order to raise awareness and advocacy.
    • “Stuck in Traffick: A Human Trafficking Event” showcases the global crime of human trafficking. Participants are encouraged to write to their congressional representatives to eradicate this modern-day form of human slavery.

    • Each Good Friday, PEACEBUILDERS joins Pax Christi Metro New York* in the “Way of The Cross” walk through the streets of NYC, a modern reenactment of the Stations of the Cross with social justice themes.
    • Each year, the four American church women killed in El Salvador in 1980 are remembered. Sr. Dorothy Kazel was a member of the founding order of CNR, the Ursulines.

    * Pax Christi Metro New York is an arm of Pax Christi International - a non-profit, non-governmental Catholic peace movement spread over 30 countries and 5 continents, with over 60,000 members worldwide. Pax Christi International is a Catholic organization but welcomes members from all religious groups working toward peace and justice – Christian, Jewish, Muslim and non-religious. Pax Christi strives to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing to the call of Christian nonviolence.
