Counseling and Career Services staff provide a variety of free and confidential services to students, including:

Job listings — for full- and part-time employment, internships, cooperative education placements (SAS), work-study jobs, and volunteer opportunities. Listings are available in the CCS resource room or on-line at MonsterTRAK.com. All students and alumnae/i are invited to utilize our job placement resources.

Workshops and programs — on self- and career-development topics including resume preparation, job hunting, interviewing skills, planning for graduate school, study skills, and many more; and at special events such as Career Fair, Depression Screening Day, Alcohol Awareness Day.

Confidential, individual counseling — available by appointment for personal and career concerns:

  • Personal counseling to students in the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing, and to full-time residential students of the Graduate School;
  • Career and placement counseling to all students and alumnae/i of all Schools (SAS, SON, GS, SNR). Services are free and life-long.

Credential Files — Students in SAS, SON, and GS have the option of establishing a Credential File at CCS, whereby letters of reference are maintained and forwarded to prospective employers or graduate programs. There is a small fee for this service.
