Counseling and Career Services staff provide
a variety of free and confidential services
to students, including:
Job listings
— for full- and part-time employment,
internships, cooperative education placements
(SAS), work-study jobs, and volunteer opportunities.
Listings are available in the CCS resource
room or on-line at MonsterTRAK.com. All
students and alumnae/i are invited to utilize
our job placement resources.
Workshops
and programs — on
self- and career-development topics including
resume preparation, job hunting, interviewing
skills, planning for graduate school, study
skills, and many more; and at special events
such as Career Fair, Depression Screening
Day, Alcohol Awareness Day.
Confidential,
individual counseling —
available by appointment for personal and
career concerns:
- Personal counseling to students in the
School of Arts and Sciences, the School
of Nursing, and to full-time residential
students of the Graduate School;
- Career and placement counseling to all
students and alumnae/i of all Schools
(SAS, SON, GS, SNR). Services are free
and life-long.
Credential
Files — Students in
SAS, SON, and GS have the option of establishing
a Credential File at CCS, whereby letters
of reference are maintained and forwarded
to prospective employers or graduate programs.
There is a small fee for this service.
