Dr. Michael Gilliam
Michael Gilliam is an award-winning teacher who encourages students to think independently, to use logic and reasoning, and to provide supporting evidence for statements they make in their academic work. While at the University of Montana, he was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award in Mathematical Sciences. He approaches teaching as a dialogue between teacher and student, where both parties have something important to contribute and each can learn from the other. His research interests are in the areas of Complex Analysis and Several Complex Variables.
