Lusiella Fazzino is Assistant Professor and Scholarly Communications Librarian at The College of New Rochelle Gill Library. She holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Simmons College and a B.A. from Goddard College. She has been a librarian for 20 years, in government, law and academic libraries.
She has developed DigitalCommons@CNR, CNR’s digital repository. Concerned with open educational resources, open access, licensing and copyright, she advises and educates the CNR community on these issues.
She has been the recipient of several professional grants: Computer Services Special Interest Section (CS-SIS), American Association for Law Libraries (AALL) 2015, Southern New England Law Librarians Association (SNELLA) 2015, New Jersey Law Librarians Association (NJLLA) 2014 and the Law Librarians of New England (LLNE) 2014. She was Vice Chair for the Education Committee and also a member of the Recruitment & Involvement Committee of AALL CS-SIS. She is currently a Community Representative for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) and serves on the Electronic Resources Committee of the Westchester Academic Library Directors' Organization (WALDO). She is also a member of the Law Library Association of Greater New York (LLAGNY).
Combining her love of travel and libraries, she was an automation consultant at the Tibetan Buddhist Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery Library in Padhairkar, India and a student at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India.
