HEALING FORUM

Welcome to the Forum. Your participation and input into this forum is invited. Whatever you would like to say or share with others is important. It starts a learning dialogue that will benefit all of us. Please send your thoughts, reactions, ideas to either   kzwolski@cnr.edu. or dlarkin@cnr.edu. When we receive them we will post them below. As the responses grow, you can add more input as the dialogue evolves. We look forward to hearing from you.

Below are to two quotes from Larry Dossey. These quotes were taken from  "Mind Beyond Body" by Larry Dossey from Healers on Healing (1989) edited by Richard Carlson and Benjamin Shield Jeremy P. Tarcher Inc. (Los Angeles)

"What is not obvious is the invisible unifying factor that pervades healing from antiquity to the present day, overriding the obvious differences. This unifying factor can be singled out as mind or consciousness." Pg 173

"This view of the unitary nature of the mind, which has much modern evidence to support it, leads to a new view of healing. It suggests that there is only one nonlocal mind at work in the healing process. The minds of all healers are one, united nonlocally beyond space and time." Pg 175

Larry Dossey, M.D. has written extensively about the non local mind. In these excerpts above Larry Dossey relates healing to consciousness and then goes on to say that this consciousness is the unitary, non local mind. What does he mean? Do you agree or disagree with him and why? What are the implications for healing and for those engaged in healing? What patterns facilitate non local healing? What is your experience of  non-local healing?
