Gill
Library is pleased to
announce the launching
of ILLiad, our new
electronic Web-based
Interlibrary Loan
Service. ILLiad enables
faculty, staff and
students to request
items through
interlibrary loan by
using a Web-based
electronic form that is
compatible with every
library resource.
How is ILLiad different
than traditional ILL
systems?
With
ILLiad, it is easier and
faster to submit
interlibrary loan
requests (articles,
books, and videos).
Enter your name,
address and other
information as a first
time user and the
information will be
automatically entered
into the ILLiad system.
No more hand writing
individual forms for
each ILL request.
Patrons
can search library
catalogs and place an
interlibrary loan
request from any
computer with Internet
Access.
You
will be notified via
e-mail or phone when
your item is available.
Periodical requests can
be electronically
delivered via your
computer (in PDF) or a
hard copy can be picked
up at Gill Library
Circulation Desk. Books
and videos can be picked
up at their Branch
Circulation Desk as
well.
Want
to know where your
request is? With ILLiad
you can track the status
of your request any time
during the day or night,
all at your fingertips.
To utilize ILLiad,
patrons must have a
valid CNR Network
Account user name and
password. Once a
username and password
have been established,
patrons can begin using
ILLiad at any computer
on campus or via remote
access.
To access ILLiad you
will see the link
“Request this on
Interlibrary Loan” in
the databases or, if you
already have a specific
book or journal in mind,
go to
Gill Library Homepage
and select ILLiad from
the “Services” section.
Then key in the
necessary information on
a blank electronic form
and click on the
“submit” button.
This exciting new
development is planned
to be launched on
Monday, October 1st.
