MTH 121: Calculus I

Course Syllabus

Here are some practice problems for the final. You should attempt them before go over them on Thursday.
Note: There may be problems on the final that do not closely resemble any of the practice problems. This means you still need to review your homeworks and quizzes.

Here is the last homework (not to be handed in). We will discuss it in class on Thursday, May 8:
4.3 #1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.

Here is the homework assignment due Thursday, May 1:
4.1 #6, 7, 21, 40, 41, 42.

The Final Exam will take place on Tuesday, May 13.

For this week you should go over your test and make sure you know how to do every problem that you missed. You will have a hard time following what is to come if you do not understand those problems. If you are unsure you should come to my office hours or work with Angelica.

Note that we will not have class this Thursday, April 24 due to the dedication of the wellness center.

Here is a practice test for test 2.
You should be able to do all of the problems except for #4. You should print it out and attempt the problems before Monday.

For additional practice on recent material, you should do the following problems (not to be handed in):
3.5 #3-31 (odd).
3.6 #1-27(odd), 43, 51, 43.

You are all encouraged to meet regularly with Angelica, the Calculus tutor in Learning Support Services.
If you need extra help, it is better to seek it early. There is a lot of material in this course, and it only gets harder if you fall behind.

Reminder: Our first quiz will take place on Thursday, January 31.

Focus the Nation will be taking place on campus this Wednesday and Thursday. All students are encouraged to participate.
