Class of 2021 Experiences CNR at Summer Orientation
June 30, 2017
The weather was perfect and the campus in full bloom as The College of New Rochelle welcomed members of the Class of 2021 for two days of Orientation events on Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29, 2017. One hundred thirty-three incoming students met with academic advisors, registered for classes, learned about student support services, and had their CNR ID photos taken. Executive VP for Strategy and Planning Kevin Cavanagh and senior administrators also greeted the students and their families, who traveled to Orientation from as near as New York, Connecticut and New Jersey and as distant as California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
During breaks from the Orientation schedule, everyone mingled with new friends and future classmates at a barbecue lunch and an evening pizza party. Afterward, all gathered in Maura Hall for an evening of music and fun. After breakfast and breakout sessions on Thursday, CNR’s newest students departed campus looking forward to returning in September.
