CNR President Dr. William Latimer Brings Public Health Minute Radio Show to CNR

Dr. William Latimer, President of The College of New Rochelle (CNR), has brought his informative public health radio show, Public Health Minute, to the College. The show, which is aired by radio stations in eight states, explores topical health issues through interviews with healthcare-related and other professionals. It is in its sixth year with over 700 segments aired with experts from over 500 colleges, universities, and hospitals.

Dr. Latimer, creator and host of the show, took over the helm at CNR in April, after serving as founding dean of the School of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing at Lehman College in the Bronx.  In addition, Dr. Latimer, a noted epidemiologist with over 100 peer-reviewed papers and $25 million in NIH funding as Principal Investigator, has held faculty positions at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, the University of Florida, Gainesville, where he developed Public Health Minute.

Public Health Minute made its debut locally on Thursday, July 26, at Westchester’s WVOX radio, where Dr. Latimer was interviewed by William O’Shaughnessy, President & Editorial Director, Whitney Global Media, WVOX & WVIP.
