David Goewey Named Director of John Cardinal O’Connor Campus

David Goewey has been named as Campus Director of the College’s John Cardinal O’Connor Campus in the South Bronx. David first came to the College in 2006 as an adjunct instructor in English and writing at the Co-op City Campus. The following year, he joined the College full time as a member of the Instructional Staff in the School of New Resources at the New Rochelle Campus.
“I’m really excited to take on this new challenge,” he says. “As Campus Director, I look forward to meeting each student’s needs and helping them to overcome the obstacles that face so many adult learners. The John Cardinal O’Connor Campus is a vital part of the South Bronx and I’m so pleased to serve it.”
Before joining CNR, David taught English at LaGuardia Community College in Queens and English as a Second Language at Rikers Island. He is the author of Crash Out: The True Tale of a Hell’s Kitchen Kid and the Bloodiest Escape in Sing Sing History (Crown 2005) and numerous articles.
