Interim President's Welcome

Thank you for interest in The College of New Rochelle. I hope you will take the time to explore the College’s website to learn more about all that we have to offer as you embark on your educational journey.

By choosing The College of New Rochelle to partner with you on your education, you demonstrate what more than 50,000 graduates of the College before you have already affirmed—a CNR education can open up limitless possibilities that you seek to transform your life in new and meaningful ways.

Founded in 1904 by the Ursuline sisters, the College operates on a university model, bringing quality value-based education to approximately 3,500 women and men at seven locations and through four Schools –the School of Arts & Sciences, School of New Resources for adult learners, School of Nursing & Healthcare Professions, and Graduate School.

At The College of New Rochelle, we view education as a partnership. Here, you will be intellectually challenged by our faculty who are recognized both nationally and internationally for their research and publications. And you in turn will be expected to challenge us as well—to be active participants in your education.  Our faculty are fully engaged and genuinely interested and invested in your success—that is what sets The College of New Rochelle apart.

As part of a strong and vibrant College Community, it will be your responsibility to fully engage yourself in campus life in order to derive the most from your educational experience with us—and I encourage you to do so. Take advantage of the many opportunities to participate in internships and study abroad, student government and clubs, athletics and community service.  Throughout the year, you will also have the opportunity to hear a number of compelling and thought-provoking speakers who visit the College for a variety of events.

Truly the best way to learn more about who we are and what we do at The College of New Rochelle is to visit us. Whether it be a visit to our beautiful main campus in suburban New Rochelle, just 30 minutes from midtown Manhattan, or one of our city campuses in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, you will come away impressed with the vibrancy of our College Community.

We look forward to welcoming you to The College of New Rochelle.
