Philosophy

The Office of Student Development is guided by the philosophy that education occurs inside and outside the classroom in an attempt to address the needs of the whole student. Student Development strives to promote an overall sense of community by providing students with opportunities to develop increased responsibility for their actions. By creating an environment that offers support and building on a foundation of sensitivity toward individuals' needs and differences, Student Development assists students in making life choices that better prepare them to contribute to society.
